American Idol First Look: Welcome, Judges!

American Idol auditions kicked off in New Jersey last night, with the new judging panel was in place to grade season 10 hopefuls.
It looks like Randy Jackson has been promoted, as he's seated in Simon Cowell's seat in the photo below. Alongside him, of course, are new panelists Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. The group is being directed by producer Nigel Lythgoe.

"We're sure going to send some people home with broken hearts," said Tyler. "But with all that we've been through in our careers, living vicariously through the young talent out there, it's going to be hard. But it's also going to be fun, because they're stepping up to the plate, and so are we."
Are you excited for the new season to kick off in January?

Michael Grimm Signs Record Deal

America's Got Talent winner Michael Grimm is more than just a reality show champion and recent fiance.
He's also now an official professional singer, having signed a deal with Epic Records this week.
Currently rehearsing for America’s Got Talent Live, a tour which begins on Friday and include fellow finalists Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho, Grimm will aim to release a solo album in March 2011.

Soon after conquering the aforementioned competition, Grimm said of his eventual CD: “I know the genre, I know the route I want to go on this album, what it looks like, and smells like, and sounds like."
Sounds like a confidence crooner. We'll be curious to hear the final product.

Oksana Grigorieva to Bash Mel Gibson on Oprah

Oksana Grigorieva wasn't kidding about a PR offensive.
Oprah Winfrey has landed a coveted TV interview with Mel Gibson's estranged source of baby mama drama and domestic abuse allegations, edging out 60 Minutes.
Winfrey's production company, Harpo, apparently struck a deal with Team Oksana on Tuesday. There's no telling what the nut job will say on the popular program.
She a Gold Digga
"Oksana has a very powerful story to share, from emigrating to the United States from Russia, her marriage with Timothy Dalton, her music career and a volatile relationship with Mel Gibson," an insider says, regarding the upcoming Oprah interview.
Let's be honest with ourselves here. Yes, Mel Gibson is a jackass and bona fide lunatic who should be locked up if he really did any of the things Oksana alleges.
But this woman is no saint herself. Quite the contrary, in fact.
In addition to the domestic violence investigation of Gibson, police are also probing Oksana to determine if she's guilty of extortion. Criminal or not, she is shady.
Asked by paparazzi about the Oprah sit-down, Grigorieva said she couldn't talk about it, adding "the truth will come out" regarding her relationship with Gibson.
The Mel Gibson rants have already come out, though, and while they are vile and deeply disturbing, they don't mean she's not trumping up the violence claims.
Nor do they mean she's a victim, or at least the only one. It's clear she was on the cusp of securing millions to destroy the tapes ... which she may have leaked.
She adds that she's "never been afraid of extortion charges, because there are none." Not yet anyway. Give it a couple of weeks and then check with the cops.
Thoughts?

Team Mel!
Team Oksana!

Nicole Richie to Marry Joel Madden ... Like, Soon!

Nicole Richie is getting married soon. But she either won't give up details or just hasn't thought about them, 'cause she's tight lipped about the when and wear.
When promoting her new book Priceless on The View earlier this morning, the mother of two said "yes" when the ladies asked if she was getting hitched soon.
But she won't divulge deets (like the December wedding rumor going around) saying, "Joel [Madden] and I aren't big planners. We just kind of go with the flow."

One thing Nicole certainly didn't plan - but had much less control over - was the travel delays she endured, which almost made her miss the NYC appearance.
Thanks to engine and weather-related problems, Nicole had to take three different planes to reach NYC from L.A. for her Borders book signing and View visit.
"I'M HERE NYC! 12 hour flight. No hair. No makeup. But NOTHING is stopping me! Here I come!" she Tweeted. That's dedication. Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are lucky!

Mumbai, Sep 29: Internationally acclaimed Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur feels that the water crisis will get worse in future and if things continue as they are then after 25 years the Ganga will disappear too.
"Almost 80 percent of the world is water stressed. We need to understand that we have crossed a danger mark and we need to do something about it. If we don't, then in the coming years we won't be able to use water like we do today," Kapur told reporters Tuesday.

"If we don't start taking steps now, we will be remembered by our future generations as the people who ruined our natural resources. Water is a very important natural resource. Things are so bad that even Ganga will become a seasonal river at this rate in the next 25 years and might not even be there later. It's shocking but true."

Kapur, 64, has lent his support to We Are Water Foundation set up by bathroom brand Roca for water conservation in India.

Amisha Patel harassed at Kolkata Airport

Bollywood News:  Bollywood Actress Amisha Patel‘s jaunt to Kolkata for a professional commitment yesterday morning turned out to be her worst nightmare. Amisha Patel was allegedly mistreated by airport security staff, leaving her indignant. She has now written a formal letter to the head of the security staff at the airport complaining about the same.
An eye  witness who was in the airport early morning said, “Amisha was at the security check around seven in the morning when she had an altercation with a woman at the security check. Amisha was polite but the lady was extremely rude; when Amisha asked for a tray to place her bag in, the lady threw her bag. Amisha told her that the least she could do is smile and be polite. However the lady was in a grumpy mood and gave Amisha a piece of her mind.
Amisha was so annoyed that she went to speak to the head of the security staff. Here she was given an explanation that the lady had been working night shifts and was thus grumpy.
When Amisha requested that the least she could have done was to be polite, she was told that the security staff has an army background and so they are rude.
Amisha Patel insisted that she would complain against the lady who was rude to her and wrote about this incident and gave it to the security guard.”

The eye witness further wrote, “Amisha was seen talking to the officials of the airline which she was traveling with and they also voiced her opinion that the security staff was extremely rude. Amisha though expressed her doubts if the letter would do any good.”
Amisha Patel was later found not interested to comment about the same.

Jennifer Aniston & Harry Morton: Allegedly Dating!

Jennifer Aniston and Harry Morton. Now that's a couple we didn't see coming, but fully support. We love the annual Harry Morton sighting at THG.
The Hard Rock Cafe heir, Pink Taco CEO and ex-boyfriend of Lindsay Lohan was ID'd as the mysterious new man having dinner with her this week.
The Switch star and Morton were apparently flirting while dining at the Sunset Tower hotel. She was seen touching his arm several times. HOT.
H. MortonAn Aniston Pic
Is Harry Morton Jennifer Aniston's latest fling?
Eyewitnesses say Aniston looked "a little nervous, putting her hair up in a loose bun and laughing at everything" the 29-year-old Harry Morton said.
Proving chivalry isn't dead, the gentleman picked up the tab before jumping in his Jeep. He tried to cover his face to avoid being photographed.
Jennifer Aniston, who's recently been linked to John Mayer (again) discreetly slipped out the back under tight hotel security to avoid paparazzi.
Morton's relationship with Lindsay Lohan was red hot but fizzled back in 2006. He later tried to distance himself from the star, understandably.
He even went so far as to claim that he was never even dating Lindsay although there are many photos of them kissing and being intimate.
Morton, who also owns the infamous Viper Room club, also dated another Hollywood starlet last year in Hayden Panettiere. They broke up.
Think he and Jennifer Aniston would make a good couple? Or do you think she belongs with someone other than Harry Morton?

Priyanka Chopra to star in Race 2

Priyanka Chopra
One of the most awaited sequels is Race 2. After the super response to Race, the combo of director duo Abbas-Mustan and producer Ramesh Taurani (Tips) is all set to return with yet another high octane thriller. The casting of Race 2 has been a much talked about topic among industry folks and on last count it was heard that Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham are part of the project while the leading ladies were yet to be finalized.

However, the latest is that the makers have just signed Priyanka Chopra for one of the main female leads. Confirming this, producer Ramesh Taurani says, “Yes Priyanka Chopra has been finalized for Race 2 while we are still on the look out for 2 more heroines.” On being asked, whom the actress was paired opposite, Taurani said, “That you will have to wait and watch as Race 2 is also full of twists and turns.”

Taurani also denied the rumours doing the rounds about Saif walking out of the project. “All these stories are completely false. Saif is very much a part of Race 2. He along with Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, and now Priyanka Chopra are the actors who are confirmed on board.”

With Priyanka joining the cast, Race 2 only gets hotter and hotter. We can't wait!

Certain stories that the Ramsay Brothers attempted a few decades ago are being rehashed and packaged in new avtaars to this date. The revenge of the restless soul, the reincarnation bit, the spate of murders, the decomposed dead body coming to life… haven't we watched it all in the past? MALLIKA is hackneyed, uninspired and clichéd from start to end. Also, there's nothing in the film that would make you jump out of your seat or give you sleepless nights at home. On the contrary, the film is unintentionally funny and also makes you chuckle at the absurdities at several points in the story.

In today's times, when storytellers are daring to break the shackles of stereotypical cinema, MALLIKA comes across as an obsolete fare that offers nothing new to the viewer.

A day on the sets of Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji

Milan Luthria started it with Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Akshay Kumar is following it up with Action Replayy and Madhur Bhandarkar is trying to get the best of the two into his film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji. 'Retro' is the new word in Bollywood. A few weeks ago I decided to visit the sets of Madhur's forthcoming comic caper to meet old friend Ajay Devgn and Madhur Bhandarkar. The location was Andheri and the reason was a 'Retro' song being filmed on Ajay Devgn, Shazahn Padamsee. And the woman who made them dance to their tunes was the svelte Shweta Salve.

The song was shot at a place called 100 in Mumbai's busiest suburb. The junior artistes including some foreign bodies (pun intended) were busy rehearsing their steps. Madhur comes from behind and pats my shoulder, "What are you doing here?" he asks. "Came to meet Ajay, thought I would meet you too", I answer. Madhur orders for two chairs as we sit comfortably in front of a large table fan, the ones we see in Indian weddings. I could see the joy in Madhur's eyes for he was making his first commercial comedy movie with one of the most talked about jodis recently - Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi. "It's my first comic film so I'm a bit nervous but I'm more confident too. It's a very simple comedy, nothing which is forcefully done or hams", he quotes. After looking at his watch, he signals one of his men to order some tea or coffee for me. Madhur continues, "And what's important is the fact that Omi Vaidya has taken the film to another level. He is so good." Omi Vaidya is the latest find in Bollywood after 3 Idiots.

In no time, Madhur invites me to come inside the pub where the Retro song is being shot and that's where my eyes meet the beautiful Shazahn Padamsee. She was sitting in a navy blue skirt, almost the knee length with a white and blue top. It looked more of a retro dress to me. To be honest, the entire setting was retro. The choreographer was busy showing the steps to Shweta Salve while Madhur introduces me to Shazahn. The sweet actress thinks and pauses and questions, "We met at the Raajneeti after party right? And you are the one who loved my film Rocket Singh, right?" I had no option but to say 'Yes'.

We get chatty in no time when she asks a weird question, "Have you come here for some gossip news?" I answer, "No, not really. I don't know how to write gossip columns but you can teach me how to write." I ask her how she felt being directed by two of the finest filmmakers of our country - Shimit Amin and Madhur Bhandarkar, both who've branched out from Ram Gopal Varma. "It feels lucky. Am I not lucky to be working with the best in the business? It's good because they are the directors who push the envelope when it comes to acting. They make you try harder and harder. There is no substitute when you work with gems like these", she tells me. Within minutes, the lead actor of the film Ajay Devgn walks in and Shazahn joins him on the dance floor with Salve. Madhur takes one final rehearsal before the actual take. All goes well and I meet Ajay Devgn outside the pub for a quite talk.

Ajay is in good mood. He is wearing a pink pine stripped shirt with beige trousers and glasses. We exchange a few words and off he sets the record straight, "Bro, I don't have much time today, can we do the interview tomorrow?" he asks me. I reply in positive. He instructs his team of some good half a dozen men to make sure that I call him tomorrow but before he flashes off, the actor does say something worthwhile, "Madhur's heart is like a kid's heart. He thinks from the heart too and that's why I am working with him in our first film together. That's why all his films have a heart. No wonder the title of his new film reads Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji."

Shah Rukh Khan chosen as brand ambassador for Nerolac Paints?

There are film stars, mega stars, superstars and then, there's the unanimous star of them all: Shah Rukh Khan!

Sources close to News have informed that the King Khan has now been chosen to be the brand ambassador of Nerolac Paints. Our source also added that the reason to choose SRK as the ambassador was because of his global appeal! Even though the finer details of the deal are still being worked upon, there are strong rumors that SRK had flown to Kolkata late last week to sign on the dotted lines.

What can we say besides, long live King Khan... and his never-ending list of brand endorsements.

Prem Raj announces 3 films; Salman Khan will star in I Am Hariprasad

Salman Khan, Prem Soni People in our film industry do take risks. They do an offbeat film, they turn themselves from actor to director, and they do an overnight Hollywood migration. But this man has just about done something which can be rightly described as 'out of the ordinary'. The term Prem Raj has evolved to describe an unpredictable factor in any number of domains. Now don't ask me the question: Who is Prem Raj? Because it definitely isn't Prem and Raj - two of the most clichéd Hindi cinema screen names. Having said that, the word Prem Raj is synonymous with one of India's biggest super stars: Salman Khan. Didn't get it? Ok, let's flash back here. The director of Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Prem Soni is back. He is back from the brink with a new identity, Prem Raj. I call him 'The Wild Card'. But we all lovingly call him Prem. So for the rest of the interview, let's stick to the latter. Prem just hasn't changed his name but fortunes too. He has a big announcement to make which might leave the rest of the Indian film fraternity in a bit of frenzy.

This bit of news is going to take you on a long ride of exciting reading. So fasten your seat belts because Prem is officially announcing here on Bollywood Hungama his exclusive three film deal with himself. Again the question, isn't it? Ok, I won't torture you guys. I'll answer. Prem is all set to make three films under his own production company called 'Wild Card Entertainment Private Limited'.

Not one, not two but three films will be produced by Prem Raj under his company which will then be backed by another big production house for distribution and association. Prem hasn't just taken a risk, he has doubled it up. Tripled it up is what most of you would be thinking.

To ask how he felt announcing the big breaking news on Bollywood Hungama, he said, "I've always been a big fan of Bollywood Hungama and know its reach. What better way than to announce my three films on the world's most popular Bollywood gateway."

So here's an exclusive update from Prem Raj on his next three films:

Bombay Muumbai

Prem Soni "Bombay Muumbai is a love story with a backdrop of Bombay's turn around into Mumbai with a gap of almost fifteen years between the first and the second half. The film tells the story of two people who separated in Bombay during the 1990's and met up in Mumbai during the mid 2000.

This is the first time you'll be seeing in a film that the main couple in the film are going to be playing 23 year olds in the first half and at the same time they'll be playing 38 year olds in the second half. More than that, it's predominantly about the city fifteen years ago and how love stories were in Bombay and how the love gets transformed into Mumbai. What are the differences in the two time gaps and is Bombay better or is Mumbai better.

The film is going to start by the end of this year and it will be having new faces. I believe that the city is the main hero and the protagonist. So I've decided that I need new faces because the story is very strong. The male lead is decided but it's too early to take his name as of now. I am still searching for the girl and will announce both their names once the female lead is locked. I am also in talks with the director which I will announce once we finalize him. I've seen Bombay in my early teens and I see it today too with the youths. Finally it's a story about how love evolves in changing times."

Merrry Christmas

"Merrry Christmas will tentatively start early next year. It's a tentative title as of now and is filmed in the romantic city Paris. It's a story of two soul mates coming together in Paris and living a beautiful life. The story is split into two halves where you get to see a strict life of two people. It's got its own twist and turns and is a love story.

The film is called Merrry Christmas because it revolves around the Christmas season. I have the script for the last eight months now and I am planning to make this for quite a long time now. I am in talks with one of the top actors of our industry and is almost on the verge of finalizing him. The announcement is going to happen soon and a big studio is going to back it up.

Merrry Christmas is going to be directed by me."

Salman Khan, Prem Soni I Am Hariprasad

"This one is a biggie. I Am Hariprasad stars my best friend Salman Khan. It had to be him in the title role. He plays Hariprasad in the film. The world audience will love him in this kind of a film. Half the battle is already won when you have Salman in the film. He is the best Hariprasad I could ever have.

I Am Hariprasad is a very unusual film for me to direct. I have written the script of the film too and it's not something you'll expect out of me because I believe in love stories and this one is not a love story.

There will be two leading ladies opposite him in the film and I Am Hariprasad deals with the biggest business in the world, business which is always on the upswing and is possibly the only thing which flourishes more than the recession - Religion.

I Am Hariprasad focuses on the relationship of man with God and the bridge between the two. Hariprasad is the Godman. It focuses on the Hinduism. Salman had his own inputs in the film and is working hard on this one. It is one of my ambitious films and is hilarious. It's going to make people laugh and at the same time the film has drama."

So if anyone thinks that Barack Obama is the busiest man on this planet, just rethink of a man called Prem Raj. Three back to back films produced by him, two of which he'll direct and one of which will have Salman Khan. Did Deepika Padukone hear this bit? What about Sonam Kapoor? All new leading ladies...beware, Prem is on the prowl...and if this ain't breaking news...what is?

Mallika Sherawat signs Double Dhamaal without discussing money

After reaching a dead-end with her career in Bollywood (her one and only hit was Pyar Ke Side Effects, not counting the cameo with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in Welcome) and with her purported global re-re-re-launch in Hissss showing no sign of release (the date has now gone from August to November) Mallika has signed on the dotted line for the Dhamaal sequel Double Dhamaal with exceptional enthusiasm.

Maybe it's the pleasure of being cast opposite Sanjay Dutt or maybe just the delight of being accepted back in Bollywood. But once known to charge anything from 1 to 1.5 crore rupees (not dollars) in Bollywood, now she has apparently refused to discuss money with producer Ashok Thakeria from Los Angeles (where her tweeted claims to friendship with Hollywood biggies has been roundly questioned).

Says the producer, "Mallika said she will take anything we give her. She's just happy to be a part of brand like Dhamaal and that too opposite Sanjay Dutt."

One hopes Ashok doesn't take that too seriously.

In the meanwhile the other leading lady Kangna Ranaut of Double Dhamaal has also been very generous about the remuneration. Says Thakeria, "Kangna's work is looked after by Rakesh Nath (Rikku). My director Indra Kumar and I go back a long way with Rikku (Rikku was secretary to Madhuri Dixit who starred in Thakeria-Indra Kumar's Beta and Dil). So Kangna said money was not an issue here."

Kangna is teamed up with the talented Riteish Deshmukh in Double Dhamaal.

With two such over-generous leading ladies signed on, Thakeria and Indra Kumar have a lot to celebrate. So they did, when they met up at Riteish's home on Tuesday evening for a script reading.

Says Thakeria, "Instead of having a proper workshop with the actors, Riteish suggested an informal get-together at his home. All of us barring Mallika (who is in LA) and Sanjay Dutt (who is in South Africa) from the Double Dhamaal team - Kangna, Javed Jaffrey, Ashish Chowdhry, Indra Kumar and I met up at Riteish's house for a script reading. We were cracking up after every line. It was that funny."

Let's hope the audience agrees when the film releases.

Genelia D'Souza replaces Asin in Kakha Kakha remake

It's a common adage that 'The only thing that's constant is Change'. One has seen many a Bollywood star getting replaced in films and also brand endorsements, for many varied reasons. The latest in this category is that of Genelia D'Souza replacing Asin in the Hindi remake of the mega hit Tamil film Kakha Kakha. It will now be Genelia and not Asin, who will be seen romancing the hunky John Abraham.

For starters, the original Tamil film Kakha Kakha was directed by Gautham Menon and had starred two of Tamil Nadu's heartthrobs Surya and Jyothika. While Vipul Shah wanted to make the film in Hindi, it was Nishikant Kamath (who had directed Mumbai Meri Jaan) who was chosen as the director. While the rest of the details of the cast are still being worked upon, one wonders as to what could be the reason behind the sudden replacement of Asin from the film.

Genelia's spokesperson refused to comment on this development.

Vidya Balan to star in Sanjay Gupta's Milte Hain

Sanjay Gupta may be busy casting for his remake of the Spanish film Ladron Que Roba Ladron but before that film goes on floors, Gupta will be producing another film Milte Hain to be directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Vidya Balan has been signed for the lead role while the hunt for the male actor is still on. Vishal Bhardwaj would be composing music for this flick while Gulzar saab would be penning the lyrics. Milte Hain is apparently based on an Australian play Double Act and Gupta has gone ahead and legally acquired the rights to remake.

Aamir Khan signed up as brand ambassador for Mahindra two wheelers?

Any film Aamir does becomes a topic of discussion nationwide. Be it his film on the education system - 3 Idiots or the recently released Peepli [Live], a film on the farmer suicides. They don't call him 'The Perfectionist' for nothing.

If that wasn't enough, Aamir continues to be a red-hot property even in the ad world, in terms of brand endorsements too. After the Etisalat deal, Aamir has apparently, been signed up as the brand ambassador of the 'yet-to-be-launched' two wheelers from the Mahindra stable.

Get geared as Aamir might just take you for a ride (literally).

Malaika Arora Khan signed up as the brand ambassador for Pantene?

Malaika Arora Khan needs no introduction neither to Bollywood, nor to the world of brand endorsements. Right from her doing Chaiyaa Chaiyya atop a moving train to her current role of being a producer of Dabangg, one the most awaited films of recent times, this Lady Gorgeous has seen it all, done it all.

The good news is that this lady is now all set to swoon everyone with her free flowing and lustrous mane, as she is now all geared up to be the brand ambassador of Pantene, if Bollywood Hungama's closest sources are to be believed. The source also added that, after the shampoo major chose the likes of Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty and Neha Dhupia, they were looking for someone who is very identifiable with the masses, and Malaika Arora Khan was their obvious choice.

Repeated attempts to establish contacts with Malaika Arora Khan proved futile. As long as we get to see Malaika and her stress free tress, who's complaining! At least, we are not! What say, Malaika!

Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar & Sanjay Dutt in next Hera Pheri

Producer Feroz Nadiadwala waited four years for Akshay Kumar to return to the third film in the Hera Pheri series before they parted ways because of the price factor. With Akshay gone, Feroz had to change the entire cast of Hera Pheri.

Now Abhishek Bachchan plays Akshay Kumar's role. Nana Patekar has stepped into Paresh Rawal's role, And Sanjay Dutt plays Suniel Shetty's part.

This, according to Nadiadwala, would remain the line-up of actors for the Hera Pheri films to come.

The parting with Akshay over Hera Pheri has left Feroz distressed. "I first started discussing the third Hera Pheri movie with Akshay in 2006. I never wanted to make it without him. It's sad that we couldn't come to an agreement. Akshay is like a brother. But I can't afford him. I hope we work together again very soon."

Feroz is delighted with the script that Anees Bazmee has come up with the new Hera Pheri film.

"It's going to be one of the funniest comedies in living memory," promises Feroz.

Bipasha to shoot her fitness video in Goa

Bipasha will be spending a lot of time in Goa in the coming weeks. First she will shoot her fitness video on the beaches quickly before winter sets in. Then she is all set to shoot a re-mix of the song 'Dum Maro Dum' for Rohan Sippy's film of the same title.

In Rohan Sippy's film, Bipasha Basu is all set to swing to the sound of the R D Burman track 'Dum Maro Dum'. The copyright issues with Dev Anand and his film Hare Rama Hare Krishna have apparently been sorted out. Pritam Chakraborty is all set to record a new version of the Asha Bhosle classic.

Says Bipasha, "I can't talk about it right now. But when it happens it will happen. Give it another two weeks."

She has another issue-based film Aakrosh coming up after Lamhaa. And Bipasha wonders how the audience would react to it. "The social issue, honour killings, is treated like a thriller. Even Lamhaa was treated like a thriller. But how many people went to see it?"

Bipasha plays a schoolteacher in a tradition-bound village in Aakrosh. "For me the interesting part of doing Aakrosh was to see how far away I can get away from my glamorous image. I discovered it was easy for me to do real characters. The director, Priyadarshan, is a delight to work with. And my co-star is Ajay Devgn who is a good dependable actor. I've another film Mr. Fraud with Ajay directed by Abbas-Mustan which got stuck. I don't know if that will ever release."

Bipasha has a message for her colleagues who are keen to lend their names to issue-based films. "Don't charge any money for working in such films. It's the only way to make issue-based films commercially viable."

Says the actress, "After Lamhaa, I am tempted to tell a committed filmmaker like Rahul Dholakia to make out-and-out commercial films. Or if you make a film on a social issue then make sure it doesn't go over-budget. The audience doesn't care about what's happening in the real world. It's shameful that Lamhaa was so costly. If it was made for Rs. 4 crores it would have been a hit. When a mainstream actor does a film on a social cause it should be done free of cost as a sign of commitment to society."

Bipasha is all set to go to Goa well in advance of her earlier plan to shoot her video. "I want it to be shot outdoors in Goa. Winter gets too crowded. And I've a film to shoot in September. So I've to rush the video. I am going crazy doing my calorie counts. This time I've no team. I am doing everything on my own. It's a little boring to do it by myself. But I've always been a loner."

And yes, all is well between Bipasha and John. Says Bipasha confidently, "If God forbid, anything were to go wrong between me and John, he would be the loser not me."

John Abraham may go right ahead and insure his body parts. Bipasha isn't doing any such thing. Bipasha can't see the sense of John insuring his butt.

She says, "I'm a body person and I am definitely into fitness. But I'd never insure any body part. He's welcome to do what he likes. I just want to know which insurance company is insuring his butt."

Shahid Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra in 'Ishq Vishk 2'?

The trend of making sequels has caught on in a big way. In fact, the moment a film hits the bull's eye, most producers immediately jump at the idea of making a sequel to the film. The announcement of a sequel creates tremendous excitement within and outside the film industry and gradually, the film becomes a brand.

The latest news doing the rounds is that producer Ramesh Taurani is planning to make a sequel to ISHQ VISHK. Rumours are rife that Ratna Sinha will direct the film, which is expected to star Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. However, Ramesh Taurani denies the development completely, "It's untrue. We don't have a story for a sequel, so how can we announce the film in the first place?" But he confirms that Ratna Sinha did narrate a subject to him. "But it was for an altogether different film. Beyond that we haven't had any discussions," Taurani adds.

Meanwhile, Taurani is gearing up to start RACE 2, directed by Abbas-Mustan. This film is likely to take off early next year.

"Shah Rukh wasn't my girlfriend"

Salman snaps that he doesn't miss SRK, says they'll never be friends

Salman and Shah Rukh, back when they were friends
Salman and Shah Rukh, back when they were friends
Salman Khan says he and Shah Rukh Khan, with whom he had his infamous public fight two years ago, can never be friends again.

"Shah Rukh and I don’t talk anymore. We had a misunderstanding and parted ways... There is no chance of Shah Rukh and Salman coming together in the future," Salman told trade analyst Komal Nahta, on the show 'ETC Bollywood Business'.

The 44-year-old ended his friendship with Shah Rukh after the two had a heated argument at Salman's then girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday party on July 16, 2008. Salman has since become close to Aamir Khan.

Infamous for his splits, whether with friends or girlfriends, Salman recently broke off with Katrina too.

Asked if he ever misses his once-upon-a-time brother-in-arms Shah Rukh, he fired back: "Shah Rukh meri girlfriend nahi thi... apni purani girlfriend ko miss nahi karta, Shah Rukh ko kyun karunga? (Shah Rukh was not my girlfriend... I don't miss my ex-girlfriends for that matter, why will I miss him?)".
